My passion for environmental sustainability began in high school when I learned that in some areas of the ocean, microplastics outnumber phytoplankton. This alarming fact ignited my mission to give back to the planet.

In December of this year, I found the perfect opportunity to make a difference. Inspired by a presentation on Invent Oregon, I realized the profound impact I could have by addressing cigarette filter pollution. Research revealed staggering statistics, such as the number of cigarette filters littered this year will be 45 times the number of stars in our galaxy.

What started as an aspiration has evolved into EarthGuard Filters. We've developed a robust business model, created an initial prototype, launched a website, secured intellectual property, and obtained initial funding.
